The Origin of Sungai Kawat

in English is Wire River. This River can we found at West Kalimantan, branch of Kapuas River. Siantang City's people called Sungai Kawat to one branch pass through their city. and their story is........

One time in Siantang lived fortuneless fisherman family, they only depend their live from the results of live fish for sale, but had a few days there was no fish are caught.

Although the sun was high, there is no fish that eat the bait from his fishing rod. Fishermen keep trying, he tried several places in the river. Until the sun towards the west, he has not got a fish. The Fishermen try fishing in a place full of trees and moss-lichen. "Probably a lot of fish here,"

When it grew dark, fishermen's bait drawn by fish. Fishermen pull a rope reel slowly and occasionally take it off until the fish tired. Without realizing it, Fisherman have attracted up to the middle river.
The sky already dark, lots of mosquitoes around the Fisherman, but he did not care. He felt get a very large fish catches. Finally attraction of fish began to weaken, Fisherman's fishing line was pulled back. After a long drawn, the fish still have not seen. Fishermen remain cautious so that fish can not be separated.

When the rod is withdrawn. Apparently there are only wires that snagged. Fisherman very disappointed because the fish loose. Fishermen saw the yellowish wire carefully, and after knowing it was a gold wire he pulled back fastly.  

Fishermen have long been pulling the wire, but still has not ended. Fishermen think he will be rich with gold wire, it will become very rich, he keeps pulling. The fishermen's small boats had been full of gold wire, and he keeps pulling.

"STOP!! Cut the wires!" said a voice from within the stream.


But the Fishermen keeps pulling.

"STOP!! Cut the wires!" said a voice from within the stream.

But the greedy Fishermen keeps pulling.

"STOP!!!"said a voice from within the stream.

The greedy fisherman didn't care, he keeps pulling. His small boat already full of gold, river water started to enter. Slowly, fishermen boat getting down to the river. The fishermen never come up again after that.  

Therefore, the river is called Sungai Kawat or Wire River.

Water and Salt | Italian Fairy Tales

Yesterday when I was reading the various stories from Italy, I found this story. A wonderful story about love from a child to his father. Here's the story ....

Once upon a time there lived a king with three beautiful daughters. When they had gathered together in one table for dinner, the king asked how much of your love to your father.
The oldest daughter said, "I love you as bright as the sunshine."The second replied, "I love you as wide as the ocean."Youngest daughter replied, "Papa, I love you as much as water and salt."

The King became angry because it is equated with water and salt, the youngest daughter directly discharged into the woods because her answers. Youngest daughter who was not lucky that now only the forest alone until a magician through the woods. Youngest daughter was taken to the neighboring kingdom by the magician, where he met with a royal prince who falls in love with her.

When the youngest daughter will be married, she and the prince decided to invite the father of the youngest daughter of the King. The servants have been asked to serve food without salt and water to the king.

On the day the youngest daughter's wedding celebration, according to the plan, the king was served food without salt and water. When the king ate his meal, the food was bland and pretty soon he wants to take water in order to swallow food that had already put into the mouth. Unfortunately there is no water beside his table, the king began to rage.

At that moment, the princess asked for time to talk and explain about the imagery of water and salt. The father heard and began to understand that food will be tasteless without salt, and without water it would be difficult to swallow food, so does the love of his life without his father.

From that day she was once again treated like a princess.
